Increased Fire Activity Anticipated for Cinnabar Creek

August 4, 2021- Over the next several days, expect to see increased fire activity in the Cinnabar Creek Drainage area on the Deceitful Fire as the fire moves down the mountain.  Fire managers will work with this expected natural movement to keep fire activity at a slower, even pace with the objective of stopping it south of the Avista Power line and south/west of River Road.  In anticipation of this projected movement, a sprinkler system is in place along with other control line tactics under the power line.  Fuel mitigation and control line tactics are complete along River Road.   Fire behavior is expected to be similar to what previously occurred in the lower end of Cedar Creek.
