ARCADIA EVACUATIONS AND WARNINGS REMAIN IN EFFECT
Residents north of Elkins Ave. and east of Santa Anita Ave. Are Ordered to Evacuate
Remaining Residents north of Foothill Blvd. and east of Santa Anita Ave. Are Under an Evacuation Warning
The mandatory evacuation order for all residents north of Elkins Ave. and east of Santa Anita Ave. in the City of Arcadia is in effect until further notice. The remaining residents north of Foothill Blvd. and east of Santa Anita Ave. are still under an evacuation warning. Fire officials are meeting later this morning to discuss the status of the fire and will make a determination regarding changes to evacuation orders and warnings.
Residents in the affected areas advised to evacuate the area using Santa Anita Ave. A Red Cross Evacuation Center has been established at Santa Anita Race Track, located at 285 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA, 91007. Residents are advised to enter through Gate 5.
The Arcadia Police Department will continue to provide routine patrols within the mandatory evacuation area. Elderly, disabled, and high-risk residents who require evacuation assistance are advised to dial 9-1-1.
The Angeles National Forest will be hosting a virtual public meeting via Zoom on today, Monday, September 14, 2020, at 6:30 PM. Representatives from agencies fighting the Bobcat Fire will be available to provide an update.
