Estes Park Power & Communications Update

                  Fire officials have requested power to Glen Haven be restored to allow use of the Glen Haven fire station. 
This area is still under mandatory evacuation. Power has been restored through Glen Haven to Horseshoe Bend on CR 43, but may be shut off again at any time at the request of the fire management team. The fire management team requests power shut offs to reduce their risk and the risk of more fire. Energized electric lines present a significant added danger to fire personnel and the equipment/aircraft used to fight the fire. Structure protection work is done without electricity.
