Current Fire Situation: Firefighters have contained all lightning fires, except the Salmon Fire, that resulted from thunderstorms moving through the area in late July. Forest officials and firefighters will continue to closely monitor and respond to any new fires. This will be the final update until activity increases.
On the Shasta McCloud Management Unit, the Bald Fire is approximately 23 acres and 100% contained. The Cement Fire near Cement Bluff and the Parks Creek Trailhead of the Pacific Crest Trail is 1.5 acres and 100% contained. The Porcupine, Obsidian, Hunter, Zot and Cement Fires are called out.
On the Trinity River Management Unit, the Pine Fire near Little Boulder Creek west of Coffee Creek is 11.25 acres and 100% contained. The Adams Fire near Adams Lake in the Trinity Alps is .55 acres and 100% contained. The Hatchet, Graves, Rush, Oak and Kinney Fires are called out.
The Salmon Fire is being managed by California Interagency Incident Management Team 14 (CIIMT14) as part of the Red Salmon Complex. For more information, please visit https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/6891/.
On the South Fork Management Unit, the Round Fire located south of North Star Mountain, southwest of Platina is 1.5 acres. It is contained and called out.
On the Shasta Lake Ranger District and the National Recreation Area, the Bridge Fire was 16 acres and is out.
Area Closures: There are currently no closures. The advisory along the Pacific Coast Trail near the Bald Fire has been lifted.
