Fire is estimated 1500+ acres
Fire progression slowed overnight with rainfall yesterday evening and relative humidity recovery. Fire behavior is anticipated to become increasingly active throughout today.
Aerial resources (helicopters and possibly aerial retardant) will be working on the fire throughout today.
Additional crews (engine strike teams) will be arriving today.
Level 3 Evacuations remain in effect for 4th of July Road west of Danville.
Level 2 Evacuations remain in effect for Danville and Big Goosmus Road.
Type 3 incident management team will assume command this morning with the Incident Command Center at Republic Fairgrounds.
