Travelers on US Highway 12 are asked to please avoid stopping in the vicinity of this fire or using any pullouts that are being utilized by firefighting personnel. All travelers should also be aware of the potential for traffic delays should this fire impact the highway. |
Weather Concerns | A trough with support from an upper level jet will move across the region this morning. This will cause some showers and thunderstorms, especially over the mountains. The early in the day timing means that there will not be enough time for the heating of the day to build up enough instability for the storms to be severe, but small hail and lightning are expected with any storms today. Hotter, drier conditions return this weekend. |
