Firefighters responded to a smoke report at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 23, 2023, north of Highway 169 near the community of Cherry. As of July 30, 2023 at 7:00 pm, the Racetrack Fire is holding at 405 acres and is now 100% contained with low fire behavior.
