Current Situation:

Yesterday, crews initiated an indirect attack around the Livingston Mine area. Structure safety assessment was completed to evaluate and prioritize protection measures for at-risk structures. The fire continues to hold along established retardant lines, with no significant movement beyond the perimeter. This has helped maintain control over critical areas and protect nearby resources.

In the Little Redfish Lake area, the fire is slowly backing with limited progression. Firefighters are closely monitoring this area to prevent any significant spread. Crews also successfully cleaned up the spot fire near 667 Road, further reinforcing control efforts and securing those areas.

Today, crews will be scouting for opportunities to safely engage the fire and implement additional containment tactics. They will also be constructing strategic firelines to minimize the fire’s growth, using appropriate tactics to ensure effectiveness and safety. Active fire is present in the area; please be mindful of heavy fire traffic and soft closures.

Weather, Fuels, and Fire Behavior: Fire behavior remains moderate due to lower temperatures and higher relative humidity (RH) values, though a slight increase in activity is expected as the drying trend continues. Over the next 48-72 hours, rising temperatures and decreasing RH levels are anticipated. This will be followed by the return of thunderstorms and gusty outflow winds, increasing the potential for heightened fire behavior and spread.
