Key Message  The Remington Fire, discovered on Thursday, August 22 at approximately 8 a.m. 20 miles northeast of Leiter, Wyoming, has rapidly spread across the Montana border. The DNRC County Assist Team assumed command of the northern end of the fire on this morning at 6 a.m. The fire is currently 130,000 acres and is burning in short grass and timber on BLM, Forest Service, Wyoming state, Montana state, and privately-owned lands. Current Status
