Pearl Fire Final Update 09-22-2024

The Pearl Fire is now 90% contained. Crews have worked diligently on strengthening containment lines to ensure there is no heat near the perimeter. The number of personnel on the fire has decreased significantly over the last two days, but resources continue to monitor and complete any remaining work on the fire line.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Sept. 21, 2024) – The Pearl Fire remains estimated at 128 acres with 75% containment. Containment continues to increase as fire crews are focused on reinforcing control lines, mopping up, and returning disturbed areas to a more natural state.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Sept. 19, 2024) – Yesterday crews made progress on constructing and securing lines along the southern perimeter. The Pearl Fire remains estimated at 128 acres with 5% containment. Windy conditions prevented aircraft from flying yesterday but air resources continue to be available today.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Sept. 18, 2024) – Yesterday's weather tested the fire perimeter with gusty winds, but there was no growth in fire size. Pearl Fire remains estimated at 128 acres with 5% containment.

At 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, the US Forest Service Type 3 Incident Management Team took command of the Pearl Fire. The fire is located approximately 5 miles northwest of Red Feather Lakes and currently estimated at 128 acres with 0% containment. There was no perimeter growth overnight.
