The Slab Fire is at 50 acres and located one mile east of Goose Lake on the New Meadows Ranger District. It is Controlled and is under a patrol status.
This fire was detected on September 8. Firefighters made good progress in holding this fire with no increase of fire spread. A fair amount of rain was received on the fir which helped firefighters in containing and controlling this fire. No area closures have been put in place.
No area closures have been put in place. The nearby Ram Fire is contained, controlled and declared out.
This will be the last update for the Slab Fire unless the situation changes.
